Good morning Ruby!
ReplyDeleteHow was your weekend? Did you get up to anything fun?
This is a really good idea. Jean Batten would be a really good person to put on our $10 note. She was so brave to fly solo from England to New Zealand. Putting her on the $10 note would be a really nice way of remembering her incredible bravery!
You have made a really good start on the second activity! I will need a few more sentences to give you full points though. Could you please add some more detail? How long was she there for? Why did she go? What was she doing when she went ashore? Who did she go with? What was her favourite part of the trip? What was the hardest part? Would she ever want to go back? This is really interesting and I want to know more!
The Boy In The Dress sounds like a really fun book to read! It looks very unique! I have never heard of any books like it before. How did you discover this book? Did you enjoy it? It sounds very funny. I think that I would like it! What was your favourite part of the story?
Lovely work on these activities so far! Try giving the second activity another go. You can post your story in the comments and I can read it from there :)
I’m looking forward to hearing more about your Grandmother’s trip!
Matilda :)
Hey Ruby!
ReplyDeleteIt’s Matilda again! You made such a good start to the Summer Learning Journey but I haven’t seen any posts from you in a while! It would be really cool to see you come back and do a few more activities! Remember you don’t have to do the activities in order! You can have a look through them all and decide which ones you like the look of!

I’m hoping to see some posts from you soon!

Hi Ruby
ReplyDeleteI this looks so cool. I like the story about Granny Wynne gon to antarctica. I didn't know she had done that! To be BTB(Better Than Before) you could make sure all the writing is on the page. I also want to let you know that it is Poppy and Louie not Poppy and Louise. Can you also mention my name in your blog profile?
Lucy
Hi Ruby
ReplyDeleteThis sounds cool! You chose a good topic.
To be BTB, like Lucy said, you could make sure all the writing is all on the page. Also it was a little unclear and I couldn't understand some of it.
