SLJ Week 1 day 2: up in the air.
Activity 1: Flying solo
Activity 2: One small step for a man
My heart was racing as I put my foot on the moon
Out of the rocket, I hopped
One small step for a man, a giant leap for mankind
Now I leap onto the moon.
Activity 3: Miracle on the Hudson
When my mum was 17 she got on a plane in Auckland and flew about 17 hours all the way to Argentina. It must have been scary because she had never been out of the country before. Then she got on a bus 16 hours when she got off the bus her host family greeted her by kissing her on both cheeks. Then she hopped in there car and just sat there, she did not know what was going on then they drove to the town where she was going to be living and ran over a snake.
Ka mau te wehi Ruby! What a wonderful blog post. I like how you talked about how it would feel to step on the moon for the first time. Can you imagine being the first person to land somewhere? How do you think you would feel?
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great blogging,
Miss Farr
Kia Ora Ruby!
ReplyDeleteHow has your holiday been so far? Have you done anything exciting over the past few weeks?
Thank you for this post! You are doing such good work for the Summer Learning Journey so far!
This is a really good example of bravery! A lot of people find travelling a bit scary and she did it all alone! Have you ever had to show bravery like this?
I really like your poem! You have described what it would feel like to land on the moon really well! Your heart would definitely be going very fast! I wonder what you would be thinking as you take your first steps? I would probably think about how weird it feels.
You have been doing such good work! Nice job Ruby.
Matilda :)
